My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Azabu Retreat and Spa in celebration of his birthday. The location was ideal, offering proximity to the town while still being nestled within the tranquility of nature. Waking up surrounded by the bush was a truly refreshing experience. Additionally, the manager was exceptionally attentive, ensuring that we felt comfortable and well-cared for throughout our stay. However, due to the proximity of the cabins, there were occasions when sounds from neighboring units were audible. Nonetheless, we would certainly look forward to returning in the future

Loved stay here. Room was nice, comfy robe, and spa was great. If don't have a car it's a short Uber to main street and beach. Had a nice little outside deck with furniture and an additional outdoor little spa and pool if you like. With a car was super convenient. Room had all conveniences i.e. bar fridge, climate control etc. Oh and free ground Byron Bay coffee which was really nice.

Room was very cute with comfortable and provided everything we needed. It was little dated, but the Japanese styling made up for this. However I would not recommend for any one with mobility issues as there were quite a few stairs and also the shower was over a sunken bath, which was lovely, but a decent step down. Location was very nice, very quiet, ideal if you are looking for a relaxing getaway away from any crowds, However it was a little out of town and as we didn't have a vehicle we were reliant on taxis. Our host was very helpful sharing local knowledge and very good dining recommendations. Absolutely loved being greeted by the peacocks on arrival.

The location is not in the busy main streets of Bryon Bay, it is inland offering a quite escape from the main town center. The rooms are spacious and clean offering a small outdoor balcony. The rooms are cleaned daily and replenished of soaps and personal items such as shower cap etc. There is a sauna, spa and pool. The accommodation also offers a robe per person in the room and towels.

The tranquillity, proximity with nature and facilities. The rooms opened up with French doors and brought the beauty of the forest into the room with you. The day spa was great, the staff professional and friendly, all while delivery a fantastic relaxing massage. The little things added to the experience - such as plunger coffee, rather then instant, brought an extra pleasing start to the day with a delicious breakfast soon to follow out on your own deck amongst the trees. A relaxed friendly atmosphere made us both feel at ease and comfortable. Look forward to returning soon.

Front desk gentleman is lovely and often around for questions/help. The pool was mostly in the shade the entire time I was there so wasn't tempted to use it (also mosquitos present but room provides spray), but it was clean and had nice loungers. I would have loved to use hot tub just make sure to allow for time to let it heat up. The drive to this place is quite nice as well as it passes through a eucalyptus forest aka koala zone!

We loved the beautiful setting - you really feel like you are amongst the trees and in nature. Lying in bed and being able to see the trees and hear the birds was beautiful. Our room was small but well appointed. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee facilities plus a fridge and microwave. Breakfast delivered to our deck was so lovely every morning - a real treat. We booked a massage which was amazing - the best massage I’ve ever had ! The owner / manager was really friendly and attentive and made us feel really well looked after.

Our host, TP, was absolutely wonderful and ensured we were very comfortable. The property was gorgeous. The spa treatments were sensational also. The view was stunning and very relaxing indeed. We enjoyed lovely spas in the evenings both in our room and up by the swimming pool. Truly lovely experience that we would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, gorgeous place to relax with nature. The Byron Bay coffee that was provided was superb also, I sketched the beautiful peacock that wandered around the grounds for both days too. Thank you again TP. Cindy & Becca

Beautiful location still closeby to everything you need in town but just out the way to be nice and peaceful, tiny property with only 6 rooms, so its super quiet and secluded! Owner was lovely and helpful, beautiful spa services.
